This was one of much of my past 20 years artwork recently entrusted to a London auction on my return from France. The frame alone was over £100! About £25,000 worth in total. I agreed 15% to go to Haiti relief fund. I received about £500.00 ( that one artwork should have been that at least )in total after all sales and Haiti are I gather going to get about £420.00. Never mind the returned damaged and even lost work! I would only recomend using an auction to sell one work at a time on a reserve - and be there to check they do just that as was not the case with all of mine! I have yet to see the Haiti money, but am told it's in the post? Obviously you can imagine the destruction to my creative sensitivities?
