My paintings are figurative, and I paint across a broad range of subject matter ranging from domestic interiors, gardens, flowers, animals, portraits, landscapes and seascapes. Always in my paintings there is a strong sense of intimacy with the subject matter.

I come originally from Merseyside and began my art career at Wallasey School of Art. Later I studied at Leeds and Liverpool Art Colleges and finally at Nottingham Trent University where I obtained my M.A in Fine Art.

My work has been exhibited widely and has won many awards. I am also the author of a book on watercolour painting (Batsford Ltd), and have produced two commercial videos. In addition I frequently write articles for the “Leisure Painter,” and the “Artist” magazines. Examples of my work can be seen on my web site - www.sareenarts.com

As well as pursuing my own work I also demonstrate/run courses for Art Societies. I run regular classes and workshops on watercolour painting in my Nottingham studio. I also organise 2/3-day painting breaks in Britain, and run regular painting holidays in Spain throughout the year.
