I demonstrate painting at many popular art events, teach my own step-by-step workshops in Lancashire and Yorkshire and am available to teach workshops to art groups anywhere. I live near Pontefract in West Yorkshire, United Kingdom and studied Graphic Design at Southport College of Art (1972-5) and Illustration at Harrow College of Art, London (1975-8) I've been been a professional Artist and Illustrator since then, illustrating a wide variety of books, magazines, and greeting cards.
As a qualified teacher with twenty-six years of teaching experience I am well able to help people learn and enjoy painting in a friendly informal atmosphere.

I lead a number of painting holidays in a variety of locations for people of all abilities. All you need is a willingness to learn, a sense of fun and a good sense of humour!
At all workshops I demonstrate a wide variety of techniques used in the chosen medium. I have a finished picture and show how each stage is done as people watch before trying it themselves. We work through the picture dealing with any problems or related matters as they arise.
