West Gloucestershire Art Society
Submitted by wgaschair on Mon, 09/11/2009 - 20:01The Society was formed in the 1930's by a group of artists in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. The object of the Society is the same now as it was when founded, i.e. to promote and encourage interest in the practice of visual arts as a vital part of everyday life.
Art Morning held each Friday from 10am – 1pm at Bream Community Centre, this is a chance for members and non-members to do their own artwork in an artistic atmosphere with like-minded folk (advice and assistance is available for those that require it) at £5 members and £8 non-members.
Committee meetings are held each month pre-arranged from the previous meeting and posted in the Newsletter (all are welcome).
Come along, bring your artwork and share the experience!
We have a membership of around 80 professional and non-professional members.
Come along to one of our Art Mornings held each Friday between 10am – 1pm at Bream Community Centre, High Street, Bream.
