Newbury Art Group was founded in 1890 with a break during WW2. The group has about 170 members and welcomes both professional and amateur artists who live and work in West Berkshire and surrounding districts.

The weekly Friday Painting Group is at Highclere Village Hall from 1 - 4pm. Charge of £1 per session to cover heating and refreshments. No formal tuition given but members often help each other. Art related DVDs are available to hire from here for a small charge and there are occasional sales of art materials. No booking needed. The Sunday demonstrations and Saturday workshops are also popular places to meet other members.

Annual membership costs only £15 (or £20 for 2 family members at the same address).
