Blackpool Art Society
Submitted by Blackpool Art S... on Sun, 18/07/2010 - 20:21The Society offers facilities to artists of all ages and styles, and encourages members to experiment. There is also an Embroiderers Group within the Society which meets fortnightly at the studio.
The studio was purpose built in 1972 and hosts workshops, lectures exhibitions etc. throughout the year.
The Society was originally formed in 1884 and is one of the oldest Art Societies in Britain. It is currently twinned with the North Otago Art Society in New Zealand.
