Art Societies was first setup back in 2008 by Colin Clark

How it came about

Prior and up to 2002 (before artsocieties.co.uk) I was very much involved in art. It was my passion, and in 2002 I managed to exhibit and sell at the Royal Society of Marine Artists exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London. Since then I have been very much involved in web design and general I.T work. Having been on an art club committee and been responsible for finding art club demonstrators for meetings, I found it a little difficult to find 'new' art tutors. I thought it would be a great idea to be able to read about the artist and see samples of their work first. So.. after many weeks of preparation and hours or work... artsocieties.co.uk was created.

I hope you find the site useful, and enjoy using it to further not only your own art but also art in general.
